Affordable Housing for Artists - Manhattan Plaza Opening
Beginning April 4, Manhattan Plaza, located at 400 West 43rd Street, New York, NY 10036, will open its waiting list for qualified performing artists. Qualifications will be based on performing artist qualification guidelines and Section 8 federal guidelines, as outlined on this informational handout (also available in Spanish).
Interested persons may apply for the lottery through this website or by mailing a postcard to the correct address shown on the informational handout linked above. Postcards must be postmarked no later than May 6, 2024.

2024 Development Grant
Now open! We are accepting applications for the Catapult Development Grant through Monday, April 15th. This highly competitive program is geared toward independent filmmakers who have a strong story to tell, have secured access, and are ready to unlock critical production funding. Please carefully review our Guidelines and Eligibility and FAQ pages before applying. Decisions will be announced in fall 2024.
2024 Rough Cut Retreat
A Catapult Film Fund and True/False Film Fest Collaboration
Come away with Catapult and True/False! Our 2024 Rough Cut Retreat will take place July 21-25 at Whispertree in Boonville, CA. Now in its ninth year, RCR unites nonfiction filmmakers and mentors in a creative, supportive, and engaged atmosphere. We will accept applications starting Friday, March 15th through Sunday, April 21st. Decisions will be announced in June 2024. For more information, visit roughcutretreat.org.
