🗓 Wednesday, October 15 || 5:00 PM @ G Building, Queens College
On October 15, join us for a conversation with Brett L. Wisniewski. Dr. Wisniewski earned his PhD in Classical Languages, Literature, and Linguistics from New York University and has nearly twenty years of experience teaching Ancient Greek and Latin, Greek and Roman History, and Ethical Philosophy at multiple institutions.
His work explores cultural history, the cognitive dimensions of multicultural religious and magical practices, and the role of media theory in understanding these traditions. In addition to his academic background, he holds a JD from Brooklyn Law School and currently practices law in Manhattan

Presidential Suite Art Competition
The School of Arts, in collaboration with the President’s Office, invites all Queens College students to submit their work for the Presidential Suite Art Competition. This is a unique opportunity to have your two- or three-dimensional artwork displayed in the Presidential Suite throughout the 2025–26 academic year.
The winning piece will be unveiled at a special inaugural event and showcased in the Presidential Suite during the fall 2025 and spring 2026 semesters. The runner-up will also be featured in the Office of the Provost. All works will be returned to their creators at the start of the following fall term.
Submission Guidelines
Theme: Open to interpretation (all concepts must be original)
Medium: Two- or three-dimensional artwork (digital art must be printed and framed if selected)
Application must include: a brief student bio, link to the proposed work, concept description, and artwork specifications
Deadline: Friday, September 26, 2025

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis— the earlier you apply, the earlier you may be invited to interview. Applicants who submit by the Best Chance Deadline have a better chance of being interviewed; the Last Chance Deadline is the final cutoff to apply.
