Roberta Braga - September 4
Roberta Braga is founder and executive director of the Digital Democracy Institute of the Americas (DDIA), a newly launched NGO dedicated to strengthening a healthier Internet for Latinos in the U.S. and Latin America. Roberta brings years of expertise working in U.S.-Latin America foreign policy, democracy-building and campaigns and communications. She was director for counter-disinformation strategies at Equis, a set of organizations working to better understand the Latino electorate in the United States, and served as deputy director for programs and outreach at the Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center, where she led programming on Brazil and projects on countering disinformation and misinformation in elections across Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia, as well as in Venezuela.

Dr. Brian Hughes - October 16
Dr. Brian Hughes is the co-founder and Associate Director at PERIL. Dr. Hughes is a research assistant professor in the Department of Justice, Law, and Criminology in AU’s School of Public Affairs. Within PERIL, he founded the Extremism Research and Intervention Studio (ERIS), which produces groundbreaking, cutting-edge solutions to polarization and extremism in the digital sphere through the use of short-form video and other tools. His scholarly work explores the impact of communication technology on political and religious extremism, terrorism and fringe culture.
Eric Tsai - October 23
Eric Tsai is a producer at TaiwanPlus and a co-founder of OFTaiwan. TaiwanPlus is a public media company based in Taipei that produces English programming and is a major resource for getting Taiwanese news in English. Eric is currently working as a producer in TaiwanPlus' news department and has vast experience working in media, specifically within journalism and social media.
Dr. James Lowry - October 30
James Lowry is the founder and director of the Archival Technologies Lab (ATL) at Queens College, City University of New York, where he is an Assistant Professor in the Graduate School of Library and Information Studies. He is an Honorary Research Fellow and former co-director of the Liverpool University Centre for Archive Studies, where he taught following a ten year career in archives and records management. As a practitioner, James worked in Australia, Europe, Africa and the Caribbean, including projects for international organizations such as the African Union and the International Criminal Court.
Greg Epstein- November 6
Greg M. Epstein serves as Humanist Chaplain at Harvard & MIT, where he advises students, faculty, and staff members on ethical and existential concerns from a humanist perspective. He was TechCrunch's first “ethicist in residence” and has been called “a symbol of the transition in how Americans relate to organized religion” (The Conversation). He is the author of the New York Times-bestselling book Good Without God and has also written for MIT Technology Review, CNN.com, The Boston Globe, The Washington Post, and Newsweek.
