Film: Third Week
A film by Jordi Torrent
Third Week is a social drama about second chances in life and the challenges they bring. The complexities of race relations are present, but it is not a story about race.
At the heart of the narrative is Alvin’s human struggle in finding himself again after having spent two years in prison. He is at a crossroads where past and present meet head on and offer him an opportunity for redemption. But Alvin’s disfunctional family will entangle him into a situation he would have rather avoided. Third Week is a USA-Spain co-production shot in Staten Island, a socially and aesthetically marginalized neighborhood of New York City seldom represented on screen.
Richard Vetere, American playwright, award winning writer for over twenty published works and professor of Media Studies at Queens College, plays Gus in the film, the owner of the machine shop where Alvin works.
Richard produced scripts include “Vigilante,” “The Third Miracle,” and “The Marriage Fool.” As an actor, he has appeared in many films and TV series, including “The Great American Heist,” "Man of Danger" and "Skeleton Crew."
Third Week has just secured major European distribution. Watch the Trailer!
