"Made in NY" Post Production Training Program

"Made in NY" Post Production Training Program, Cycle 19 - Now Recruiting
Over the last six years, the Made in NY Post Production Training Program has successfully trained more than 200 people for work in the NYC Post Production industry. They are now recruiting for Cycle 19, set to begin in June 2024, and are actively looking for trainees from all 5 NYC Boroughs that are interested in starting a career in Editing, Animation, or Visual Effects for TV, Film, and Media to participate in their program.
REQUIREMENTS (MUST meet ALL of these to apply*):
18+ years of age
A New York City resident
Unemployed, underemployed, or low-income
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Has a high school diploma or equivalency
Basic computer skills
6 months experience in production, entertainment, media, post production, or another similar field
Committed to full time training for six weeks
Commitment to working in the Post Production industry or Post Production related fields for at least 2 years
Qualified candidates that meet the requirements MUST attend one of their upcoming Remote Info Sessions to apply.
Remote Info Sessions (via Zoom) will be held:
Tuesday, April 30th, 3pm
Thursday, May 2nd, 3pm
Tuesday, May 7th, 3pm
Thursday, May 9th, 3pm

*BWI serves individuals from low-income backgrounds, who are unemployed or under-employed. They welcome all interested applicants to the “Made in NY” Post Production Training Program, and those who currently or recently experienced serious challenges to finding or maintaining employment will be prioritized for enrollment.
