Queens College’s Digital Media Production team is seeking creative and motivated students for a Video Production and Editing internship. This opportunity is designed for individuals passionate about honing their skills in video creation, editing, and storytelling.
Responsibilities»
Collaborate with the video production team to create engaging and high-quality video content.
Capture, edit, and produce videos that align with the college's vision and requirements.
Participate in various projects and live productions, including but not limited to:
General campus event coverage
Interviews
Music concerts
Branding / Instructional videos
Sporting events
Work closely with mentors to develop, plan, and execute video concepts.
Complete a minimum of 135 hours during the semester
Develop and curate a comprehensive portfolio showcasing the work accomplished throughout the internship
Write a concise summary detailing the projects undertaken and skills acquired during the semester
Requirements»
Enrolled as a Junior or Senior Media Studies major or minor at Queens College with a 3.0 GPA
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite especially in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Audition
Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Pro Tools applications is a plus.
Knowledge of Color Correction is a plus.
Knowledge of camera operation, sound equipment, and lighting techniques.
Strong creative and storytelling skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
