Queens College, The City University of New York Athletic Sports Information & Event Internship
Queens College Athletics is seeking an Athletic Sports Information and Event Interns. This position has a flexible schedule that will be based on classes, availability and necessity. This position will be reporting to the Director of Operations.
This position is responsible for but not limited to:
Assistance with set-up and breakdown of Athletic events home games
Help manage media relations logistics associated with selected athletic events
Ensure accurate and up-to-date information—including bios, rosters, schedules, statistics, previews, and recaps published daily and sport-specific social media platforms.
Maintain statistical records, provide real-time data entry during live events, and archive digital and physical records for historical reference.
Assist with the maintenance of the Department of Athletics website.
Over the course of the semester, students will learn the following:
Set up and break down live stream equipment for all Athletics home games
Fall Sports: Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball
How to operate software (Adobe, Production Truck, NCAA live Stats, State Crew) for various sports.
Operate live cameras during home games
Create highlights reel using Premiere Pro, Using Photoshop for graphics and more
Learn how to use the scoreboard, PA and more
Qualifications»
Candidates must have the ability to work a flexible schedule that will include evenings and weekends.
Must possess a strong work ethic and eagerness to work in the sports industry. Available for internship credits from respective institution.
