The Knight News Visiting Journalists Series 📰 ⚔️
The Knight News is excited to announce the next installation of their Visiting Journalists series. On Monday, April 15th from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. They will be hosting Terry Parris Jr. (The New York Times) and Derek Kravitz (MuckRock) for a conversation about journalism.
All are welcomed, with Media Studies and English students highly encouraged to attend. Refreshments and lunch will be served. The Knight News' newsroom is located at LL35 in the Student Union basement.
The Knight News is a pre-professional organization, helping students prepare to work in media. They host the Visiting Journalists series in order to put students into contact with working media professionals. Their speakers help students understand the demands and opportunities in their field. They also share insights about their own career trajectories. Students have the opportunity to ask them questions directly.
Past speakers include Brian Rosenthal (The New York Times), Celia Ellenberg (Vogue), Ann Powers (NPR Music), Frances Solá-Santiago (Refinery 29), Samhita Mukhophadhyay (Teen Vogue), Randal Archibold (The New York Times), and Amir Khafagy (Asian American Writers Workshop, The New Republic, The Guardian).
