Visiting Journalist Series: Arun Venugopal

Arun Venugopal is apart of a journalist series and will be visiting Queens College to discuss the evolution of his career, and the importance (and the challenges) of reporting on questions of race, ethnicity, gender, and politics. The discussion will be moderated by students from the Media Studies Journalism Workshop.

Arun Venugopal is Senior Reporter in the Race and Justice Unit at WNYC, National Public Radio. Venugopal has published and appeared in numerous national and international venues, including NPR, PBS Newshour, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, and many more. His Micropolis radio series on WNYC focused on real-life stories from across New York’s ethnically diverse communities, aiming to make out “big anonymous city just a little more knowable.”
